Bralynn and Donna are guests on Terry Spencer’s Modern Day Mystics broadcast.
So…why did Donna and I accept the invitation to be on a show called “Modern Day Mystics”?
Well, it’s because we have been pressing into the deeper mysteries of God, as it says in Proverbs 25:2. We are seeking the meat because the traditional church is still serving up milk. (Hebrews 5:12)
Don’t be thrown off with our identifying with the word “mystics” either. The actual definition is: A person who claims to attain, or believes in the possibility of attaining, insight into mysteries transcending ordinary human knowledge, as by direct communication with the divine or immediate intuition in a state of spiritual ecstasy.
Since we are all called to embrace the mystery of Christ’s redemption of us by his death, burial, and resurrection, this shouldn’t be a difficult concept.
And regarding direct communication…well, we’re called to know His voice in John 10:4. So if you’re NOT in communication with God – that’s a problem.
Now – regarding the “spiritual ecstasy” – I don’t get caught up in it like King David dancing in his underwear on a regular basis – but it does happen. (Getting caught up – NOT dancing in my underwear – just clarifying.)
